Caswell Health Department Open House

Web Admin - Monday, March 26, 2018

The Diabetes Prevention Program is an evidence-based program from the CDC where participants work at losing 5-7% of their starting body weight and being active for 150 minutes each week. The program is a year long and meets once a week for 16 weeks and then once a month for the remaining 8 months. Participants who achieve their goals reduce their risk Diabetes by 58% if under the age of 60, and by 70% if over the age of 60.

We will be doing a risk assessment at our Open House on April 5th, 2018 from 4-7. We will begin a new Diabetes Prevention Program class in Caswell County in the fall of 2018. For more information  please contact Katlyn Rose at
